Eavesdropping statute held unconstitutional

For the first time, the Illinois eavesdropping statute is held unconstitutional by the Illinois Supreme Court, citing that the statute is overly broad by requiring consent by all parties to the conversation, no matter the extent of the expectation of privacy.  This has broad applications from recordings to conversations with police officers to conversations with your ex before court in a crowded and busy hallway
